A privacy note for the handbook, not for Kingsoft’s cloud.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the handbook pages you are reading. It does not apply to wps.com, the Microsoft Store, Google Play, the App Store, or any CDN those sites load. When you follow an official download link, you leave this privacy notice and enter the destination’s rules. Read those policies if you create a Kingsoft account or buy Premium.

We are an independent editorial project. We are not affiliated with Kingsoft Office Software Corporation Limited. Nothing here is a privacy statement for WPS Writer, WPS Cloud, or WPS AI.

What we collect by default

The handbook is static HTML, CSS, and a small js/site.js file that builds the header, footer, and FAQ toggles in your browser. That script does not phone home with your documents, does not fingerprint beyond ordinary web use, and does not store a WPS license key. We do not operate a member database. There is no “create account” form on this site.

Like any website, the host or content-delivery layer in front of these files may record standard server logs: IP address, time, requested path, referrer, and user agent. Those logs exist to keep the site up, to debug 404s, and to notice abuse. They are not a marketing dossier. We do not sell them, and we do not append them to a broker list.

Search consoles (Google, Bing, Yandex) may receive verification tokens we place in the page head. Those services process queries and crawl data under their own terms. The placeholder tokens on this site are not a hidden tracker in the article body.

Cookies, analytics, and third-party scripts

We load Tailwind’s browser build from cdn.jsdelivr.net and fonts from Google Fonts via css/site.css. Those vendors can see a request for a stylesheet or script in the ordinary way a CDN sees a request. We do not wrap the pages in an advertising network. If we later add a privacy-respecting analytics tool, this page will name it. Until then, do not assume a dashboard of named readers exists — it does not.

Your browser may still send cookies that belong to other sites if you arrived from a search engine or leave toward a store. We do not set a “premium upsell” cookie. We do not retarget you with WPS ads. Official store buttons are plain links with rel="noopener noreferrer".

Outbound official links

The only install paths we recommend are wps.com, wps.com/download, Microsoft Store listing 9NSGM705MQWC, Google Play, and the App Store. Those companies will apply their own privacy practices, payment processors, and app permissions. Review them before you sign in. This handbook never asks for a Kingsoft password and never hosts a login form that looks like one.

Email you send us

If you write the editors, we process the message to correct the handbook or to decline a support request we cannot fulfill. Do not send passwords, recovery codes, payment screenshots, or personal documents. We cannot reset a WPS account anyway. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to act on it. See contact for what that mailbox is for.

Children, sales, and your choices

This site is a technical handbook, not a service aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not sell personal information. You can refuse optional email, use a tracker blocker, and still read the articles. You can fetch official builds without ever returning here.
